About the Program
The After School Science Class is a year-round program. The weekly Science Class introduces basic scientific principles from the three main branches of Science, namely, Physical, Life, and Earth Sciences. A new topic and experiment is introduced each week throughout the school year. Some of the experiments are take-home projects.
Lessons and experiments are planned and designed in accordance with NGSS and the California Science Curriculum, making it age- and grade-appropriate for the students.
Engaging hands-on activities promote team work, thinking skills, problem solving, reasoning and logic.
The class incorporates the latest scientific discoveries from different fields like Space, Health, Energy, etc.; which helps students stay in touch with current scientific news and events in the world, and help plan their Science Fair projects accordingly.
Monthly competitions help students learn critical social skills while learning the value of hard work and developing self-esteem in addition to winning fun science kits.
Regular emails are sent to parents reporting on topics and experiments conducted in class. Encouraging constant feedback from parents helps to improve the quality and value of classes for their children.
